These days I am thinking about getting back into freelancing/consulting more. I am a bit of a generalist with a background in IT/Sysadmin/DevOps/full stack development.

I've never really fit into a mold. I think that's why the startup life has been so appealing to me over the years but I think I would rather put the trust in myself than the risk that comes with whether xyx startup will "make it" or not.

My goal this week was to get vmware-workstation installed and working on my desktop (CachyOS (Arch based)). More challenging than I had anticipated but with a combination of the ArchWiki, Reddit, ChatGPT and a little luck we got it working!
